Thünderbards: Chapter III // Review @ Edinburgh Fringe 2015

Thünderbards’ latest show takes them on a journey to utilise their local library they inherited before it’s impending doom.

The use of this narrative threading throughout the numerous sketches based on books from library surprisingly works very well. There’s not too much content on it and never appears to get in the way of the comedy which is crucial.

With the sketches themselves, they’re often clever. Some of them fall flat but the quick turnaround of them helps to not loose the pace. The use of space within the venue was impressive in the way it was used in conjunction with the sketches, utilising all the doors and small space to offer funny set pieces.

There’s a chemistry that works very well between the duo, both with impeccable comedy timing between each other. They both put their all into the routine to offer a very enjoyable hour of silly, short sketches.

You can see “Thünderbards: Chapter III” at the Underbelly, Cowgate everyday until the 30th August at 17:00. For more information including tickets, click here.
