Comedy Edinburgh Fringe 2017 Review

Lloyd Griffith in:Undated

Lloyd Griffith in:Undated is one of our biggest surprises from this year’s Fringe, since the last time we saw him he’s developed a hell of a lot as a comic.

in:Undated tells the journey of Lloyd’s recent romantic relationship, it’s not blown up for comedic value or twisted for laughs, it seems genuine and you feel for all parties involved.

All throughout this, it’s clear that Grimsby still means a lot to Lloyd, even managing to give some very location-specific jokes to an audience member who had co-incidentally grown up in the same area and school (we doubt it but we hope this wasn’t a plant because if it was, this may ruin a large chunk of the show!).

Maybe the biggest improvement we’ve seen in Lloyd is he’s way more relaxed on stage and the way he handles the narrative of the show, with minimum amounts of showboating his incredible vocals to fall back on, he’s trusted his comedic persona to produce one of our favourite shows of the festival. We can’t wait to see what he does next year if TV land doesn’t suck him up! The hour has heart, endearing moments and a very unique finale (even if it wasn’t for myself).

Lloyd Griffith in:Undated is on at 7pm everyday at the Pleasance Dome until the 27th August
