David Trent’s cynical view on today’s technological landscape brings plenty of laughs and awkward silences upon his return to the Edinburgh Fringe. Think Charlie Brooker meets Dave Gorman, on steroids.

We’re taken on a multimedia journey with nothing being off-limits. There’s some satire about Syria followed by a routine about a vibrator alarm clock, to give some context. As segment goes to segment, it’s abrupt to say the least – but it’s jam packed of content. This isn’t a show that’s struggling to last an hour.

While it’s not for everyone (I wouldn’t suggest bringing your parents along), if you’re on Reddit – then you’ll love this show.

David Trent: Here’s Your Future is on at 10.35pm everyday (except 14th) at Just the Tonic at The Caves
